“Where do they all go?” Thought the girl as the wind picked up and blew them all away again. Ideas, dreams and whisperings, some too small to even dent a blade of grass, others so incredible that they could change the world forever. But she had always known that they weren’t hers to keep and so she let them fall away gently to be discovered by someone else. Or perhaps not, she later mused.

Grown sustainably from MAT 1 Nero d’Avola clones in the Trott Rd vineyard in Blewitt Springs from vines planted in 1982. The grapes were picked in March by hand and carefully transported to the winery in cool conditions.
Destemmed and fermented in an open vat with only gentle handling to maintain soness and beauty in the wine. Matured in old French barriques for ten months with minimal filtration.
Playful and energetic with black plums, cherry cola and freshly grated ginger. The palate is soft and refreshing with bright raspberries, a hint of lavender and a lingering feline palate.
Arancini, Niçoise salad, pork and fennel sausage, eggplant parmigiana, charred octopus.
Gorgeously fruited and fragrant, the wine shows dark plum, cranberry, floral and toasted almond characters on the nose with a light dusting of dark spice. It’s juicy and supple on the palate, displaying lovely weight and elegance together with silky texture and rounded tannins, making it highly enjoyable.
At its best: now to 2028.
